I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone, I'm out of Navy boot camp!!! I did my Pass-in-Review on Friday and my Liberty weekend is about over (1.5 more hours!) I miss hanging out and learning from you guys, but not as much as I missed my girlfriend. Boot camp itself wasn't too tough, it was dealing with all the 17 year olds who don't care about anything that was difficult. The division was constantly in trouble and getting beat because someone wanted to take too long in the shower or they didn't feel like cleaning. And sometimes - well all of the time - people felt like talking when we were told to shut up. Its amazing how many people can't follow simple instructions like "don't talk". But its over now and my family and girlfriend are somewhere flying over the midwest on their way back to D/FW Airport. On Tuesday I'll get on a bus that will take me across the street from RTC (recruit training command) to NTC (Naval Training Center) to start my A School. Some of you may recall that I am doing Aviation Electrical or electronics and going to school in Pensacola - so why am I staying here in Chicago? Well it seems that some bright military individual(s) overbooked the school so many of us in the AV field will start if not do all of our training here in Chicago. This means more winter, but also a chance to see the Cubs play (Wrigley field will be cool!) and see more of Chicago. I will soon be in the market for a killer laptop (not totally leathal mind you) and I haven't ever really looked at them before, so any advice you can send my way as to what to get, let me know by email, or by a post - I'll post and look around in Gen. Tech whenever I get another chance to get online. That's about it for now, I am running out of time to chill before liberty expires. Good luck to the rest of you who are joining the service, it will be frustrating, but it will get better!
