right above where it says "download attachment" theres an option to "scan with norton antivirus". cant get much easier than that.
hotmail offers the same feature with macafee i think.
S.D.Willie, Thanks for the reply but i have looked ,and i do not see am option to check for a virus, i wonder are you refering to an American yahoo, and it is differant to the UK one.
hmmm I would have thought it was different for all yahoo accounts was going to say that I don't login through the american site but I do have a .com address but I got it before the other ones came online. I get the option to scan for viruses. In any case if you are using yahoo through your web broswer and not outlook or something similar then for the most part you will not have to worry about getting one of those viri that emails to all in your address book as all but one can't touch your yahoo address book, did remember seeing talk about one that could do something to a web based account but can't exactly remember what it could do.
If you have an up to date virus scanner on your pc just scan anything that you download. Delete anything dodgy even if it comes from someone you know.
I have got quite a number of viri to my yahoo account but as I am accessing it through my browser I have not had any problems with any of them.
