Ridiculous

There is a 12 yr old boy, part of an 8 person team, he is not allowed to compete at national level because synchronised swimming is officially recognised as a womens minority sport !!!!

His team will loose points, if they compete without him, as they dont have the required 8 members!

What the **** is wrong with this world?

I think someone could argue that is sexual discrimination. Just like saying girls can't play football...

Don't know about your school, but mine (way back when...) had one girl that they FEARED would try out for football team...

But seriously, if this is supposed to be a girls sports contest then the guy should not have been on the team to begin with. This is not o problem for the national compitition but a problem for the school, IMO.

my hs had two girl wrestlers...one was decent i think...never really paid attention to my hs wrestling team..

Yeah don't think thats right if they exclude him because of that. Or is it called synchronised swimming for women lik e football for women, womens soccer, womens iceskating and so on.

The key word here is MINORITY, not women. Women are a protected class in our country for some reason. Someone please explain to me why a gender who makes up 51% of the earth's population is considered a minority.
