Where the heck is my post count? I just became a member yesterday, so I have all of 4 posts, but still...

How am I ever going to get an avatar at this rate?

And never mind 'bout the post count, You can do what Warty did: go to tech threads and say " I agree with ..." , :Huh, Huh...", "Yeah, that's right..." ,

and build up your count.

When you hit 50, send a PM to KnotHead and he'll design a nice little avatar fer you.

Don't feel bad Bored Gal! Post counts don't really mean much anyways, except to get an avatar. The powers that be here decided to not have community posts count towards count, possibly an effort to maintain a high standard. Or as was mentioned, only senseless junk here in community. ????

I'm sure u could get the 40 posts in a nite or two ifn u wanted. I like having my low post count, that way nobody takes me seroiusly.... and maybe I won't get into trouble.....

BTW, I've begun work on my avatar and it should be ready by Christmas in a year or two.....

I really enjoy the peeps here and try real hard to make contributions even though they don't count in the #.
I think it's important to share and have fun in a place like this and am thankful that the people here let me stay and have my voice....

Hey Bored Gal, getting an avatar is easy if you just put comments in the real threads (the ones not in IMO Community that is), or even make some new threads of your own. The idea is to encourage participation, with an avatar as a prize. By then you're addicted and can't stop anyway! Post junkies is what we are!

Another good way to get lots of posts is to join a Distributed Computing Team (UD is good ) and then you can post lots of bizzare comments about cats, cows, chickens and gnomes and they all count for points toward your avatar! Just check out the Distributed Computing forum, and help out your fellow man as a side effect!

And you will no longer be bored while doing all this, believe me!

So, jump in and join in! We're all waiting!
