Does the "sarcastic" smile really look sarcastic to you?
I think he looks confused to me.. I never use it for sarcasim. I when I'm being sarcastic..

I use when I'm being jokingly smug OR when I'm just.....happy

And I do use when I'm being sarcastic and/or facetious.

there should be a smiley of the eyebrows down but a smile.... sort of like an evil grin
