i take my GED test today

i think i will pass.. but when you have a mom who has been saying you will fail since day one.. you know

Doesn't really mean she thinks you will fail, she's prolly just trying to scare you into studying.

Wow. My parents never said that to me when I went to take mine. Of course I had been in college for 2 years before I took my GED test. For me it was more like. Parents: Go take the test!
Me: Ok, i'll do it later
Parents: Go down to the testing center and set up a time to take the test!!!
Me: Sure, I'll do it tommorow.
Parents: Did you schedual a date yet?
Me: Umm no...
Parents: Just go take it its not like you will have a problem passing it.
Me: Ok, i'll do it tommorow
Parents: We set up a date for you to go take your GED. You have to be there tommorow at 9am.
Me: 9am? Aww crap.

I can honestly say I felt no different with the GED than I did without it. But maybe thats cause I dropped out of highschool and tricked my way into college instead of just dropping out of high school for years like alot of people do that feel a sense of accomplishment from passing the test.

i took it, i passed, well
the essay is "pending" since they have to send it out to be graded
but i passed everything else

and yeah my mom says things like that... and she wasnt kidding surreal... ...its ok, i passed yippeeee


took me about 3 and a half hours to finish all tests
scores: needed 450 at least in each to pass

Reading: 500: 50
Math: 520: 58

irony: i worried about math
but i did better in math then in reading.. although i would have done better had i actually read all the reading stuff.. i just skimmed it..

LOL I am right there with you, I have had a college reading level since freshman year, if the teacher tells me to read the text closely, then I will.

My mom only says stuff like that to me when she is grumpy.

Way to go dude! I never took the GED, never know when I will. Just took the SAT the other day.

My mom says discouraging stuff to me all the time too She just dismisses it by saying that her trying to discourage me will make me try harder. Yea right! I'm a slacker! So I just don't pay attention when she talks like that. I think she expects too much from me
