TechIMO making me download?

All morning I have been trying to get on TechIMO, and each time, it would not load the web page, but rather bring up this file asking me to download.
It was labeled / from techimo
What was up? I was afraid of it being some crazy virus or something.

I've seen that happen on a couple of sites... almost like the index file is missing the .htm extention.
I haven't seen it here though..

what you can do is if that happens is say save to file, then on the next form see what the filename is.... if its .php or something web related chances are something just got screwy for a second

Assuming you're using IE:

Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/ make sure "Use HTTP 1.1" is checked.

I've seen that before, but never at TechIMO - mainly at some other less well-maintained sites

Normally I just click cancel then refresh the browser (sometimes needs a couple of refreshes to work) and all is well..

Seems to happen mainly when a server is down - but haven't seen that b4 when TechIMO's server is down...

i just got that problem about 10 minutes ago. it opened up at least 200 windows of internet explorer which i closed by ctrl alt del then selecting all the IE ones and ending task. after all those were closed DAP asked if i wanted to download something from techimo....... the name was banner.gif or something like that
