Wombat is on a distinguished road

I am about to change my current employment, (Personal Assistant/Systems Manager).
am looking to hardware work, I like building, replacing parts and trouble shooting etc. I have been looking at Monster.com and Dice.com. Can anyone suggest anywhere else (sites) or do you know of someplace that needs a new person (help desk, tech support, PC Tech etc) in the Los Angeles/Valley area.
I am A+ cert and will be working towards my MCSE. I have been playing around with PC's for a while.

Thanks

Paul

P.S I'm 37, as if that might make a difference

www.monster.com

Never used it, I'm just a victim of effective advertising, good luck.

Actually, www.monster.com is not all that bad. Headhunter.net is very good as well. Also, looking in your local newspaper website, the classifieds usually will have employment oppotunities as well.

Well, my current boss once again dangled that carrot in front of me and I figured that I would not get what he is currently paying me as an entry level tech, so I have decided to stay for one more year (I keep saying that. It’s been 2 extra years now). I guess the added stress of my wife not working but instead choosing to raise our daughter at home till she reaches 2+ years also helped in the decision making..

I guess I'll concentrate on my home comp repair biz this year...

Hi Wombat

LA Times goes with: www.careerbuilder.com

Others I use:

http://www.aquent.com/
http://www.guru.com/
http://www.cnet.com/techjobs/0-7067.html
http://xtremepccentral.tech-engine.com/candidates/
www.jobsummit.com

Check company websites also, where you'd like to work.. you can find local companies via Yahoo.

Don't forget to check the CA EDD page too, though it's somewhat of a pain to navigate

http://wwwedd.cahwnet.gov/

Best of luck on your job hunt, Wombat!
