Mr Dressup..

I'm not sure what to say...I just found out that Mr. Dressup (Ernie Coombs) is dead.....and last year at that...

I guess since I moved from Canada to the US that it kinda fell through the cracks for me....and it was shortly after the Sept 11 events...

I've been doing a few searches about the show and my childhood started flashing before my eyes....I really liked that show...

Maybe I can get some copies of it and play it for my kids...any of you guys (Canadians) ever watched it?

Yep, he was great, one of the only shows I can watch now that Iam 17 and not think how dumb it was.

I was pretty sad when I heard he died, best kids show ever IMO, specially the times before Casey and Finnegan left, wish more kids shows were like it, stupid barney....

Ah, I used to watch it to. Even saw him live a couple of times when I was much younger. (read: late 70's)

Im from the states, Buffalo NY area but right near the border, we get all the canadian stations on local tv even without cable CFTO in toronto, etc.. i used to watch mr. dressup all the time. how sad.... and some show about a big giant guy in a castle too.

Yeah, The Friendly Giant, that was good too. But alas he has also passed on; a few years ago.

Didn't the Friendly Giant come on right after Mr. Dressup?,...at least thats how I remembered it..
