Gulf War Pilot still being held in Iraq?

Drudgereport is reporting this:

Quote:
Gulf war pilot believed alive, captive in Iraq.. MORE... U.S. intelligence agencies have obtained new information indicating Iraq is holding captive a U.S. Navy pilot shot down during the Persian Gulf war, The Washington Times is reporting on Monday... Developing...
I gotta tell you, if this is true, the US needs to demand his immediate release. I'm sure the surrender that Iraq agreed to at the end of the Gulf War included a provision for the return of P.O.W's. If they do not return him, the wars back on. We'll see more details when the full story comes out tomorrow.

I hope this is not the case. I fear for what they would have gone through. To see Saddam's unscrupulous acts... This soldier would have lived in pure evil for over 10 years...

We did have a POW exchange. They gave us the 17 US soldiers (41 total coalition forces fighters) they had and we gave them their 85,251 soldiers. (These numbers are compliments of "Sensless Secrets: The failures of US Military Intelligence" by Lt. Col. (ret) M. L. Lanning. )

I really don't think it's true, think about it. What would Iraq gain by holding someone this long? Nothing, but they would have a lot to lose, because it would be just the excuse we would need to go back in.

Personally I think it's just Bush using the media to soften us up so we can go back and finish what his dad started. I don't blame him, we should of finished it then. But really even if the guy was captured, Iraq would have either used him as a bargining tool with us or they would have simply just killed him.
