IE is better anyway, takes like 1 second to boot the program and every program with a plugin has it for IE

this spyware thing is really getting out of hand. they know too much about us like if we are searching for a new computer on the web or if we like video games and such.

is there any way to get like a crack or something to disable that feature in Netscape?

You can edit the all-ns.js file in a text editor. Open the Netscape directory and it's in /defaults/pref

Comment out this line:
pref("browser.related.provider", "http://info.netscape.com/fwd/siduswrl/http://www-rl.netscape.com/wtgn?");

And in this line change "true" to "false":
pref("browser.tracking.enabled", true);

Oh so sneaky and intrusive.

So I just add REM before prefs... in order to comment out the line, right?

No, in the .js files you use // in front of the line to comment it out.

Strange... there was already // in front of both of the the prefs line in the .js file you referenced... I use NSClean 6.1 set to Block anonymous tracking, search referrals, full circle reporting and HTTP referrers in Netscape 6.2.1.

With this active blocking being done, do I even need to bother with this?

I saw a link at the Google site that offered a 'Search Tool Bar'...

Is this just another way to get this 'spy-ware' onto our computers???

I doubt if Google would, they're generally pretty good about that kind of stuff
