Is anyones Directv service wiggin'out?

I was trying to watch a movie on HBO and the picture starts pixelating real bad, the sound goes all choppy, then disappears.
Then theis thing pops up saying "sun outage"

This is the first time I have seen it affect my service.
I am aware that satellite traffic can be impared by sunspots, but I haven't read anything about there being increased activity lately.

Next question, Does anyone think it will cause problems with Sat. internet service, and maybe some of the other things that use the technology?

Its either that, or the astronauts snuck over to the DTV bird and are waving foil in front of the antennas.

Anybody else having probs?

At certain times of the year, when the sun is at the right angle, it can interfere with sattelite transmissions. We get it even with cable TV, it interferes with the downlink to local cable providers and usually hits around mid-afternoon, sometimes early morning.
