Cookies anyone?

I was just wondering how many of you guys allow cookies, and do you use IE to put a limit on the types?
I was a little amazed by the third-party cookie business when I found out about it..

So we're on the same page...
A cookie is a file created by a Web site that stores information on your computer, such as your preferences when visiting that site.

A third-party cookie is one that either originates on or is sent to a different Web site than the one you are currently viewing.

well Betty. i like to have normal cookies because all my passwords are the same essentialy but different in 1 way, the prefix. sometimes i forget the prefix so i like cookies to help me.

i am on IE so i just have to accept cookies that go to other sites. Netscape has an option that only allows cookies if sent back to the site you are viewing but IE doesnt so i guess i'm screwed.

btw what is UD? it's in your avatar and that guy who has the avatar of a wolf pushing a buggy. what does it mean?

I only accept cookies from a few trusted sites. (and a few sites that I don't really "trust" but need them enabled to access the page )

I was a little miffed when I disconvered 3rd party cookies because I beefed up my cookie security. One of my favorite sites uses 3rd party cookies. I don't mind them having my personal info but it really gripes me to think it's being sent to a spam (ok advertising) company.
You don't realize how much you're getting poped till you have to ok them.. Like every page!

Ditto Fingers and Harder re Trusted Sites.

Internet Zone is disabled and per-sessions allowed. I clear all every night, including TIFs and tmp's.

I don't accept cookies as I was fed up clearing all the crud out of the cookie folder, I know they can be useful but hey!

I went to a site of a large computer retailer in this country (England) and couldn't even get into the site because I'd got cookies disabled. The message said cookies had to be enabled to get the most from the site - pathetic, well, they lost my business!
