B/c they are milking it for all its worth.. haha.. no telling really.. I use to work for a game store.. in this game store we had all the fan sub versions of all the BDZ.. all the way to the end.. don't ask for what the endings are like.. I wont tell ya haha.. but anyway.. when they were bringing them over.. they did only a certian amount of dubed shows.. and the voice actors they used.. soemthing happened.. and they had to chang them. This was about 2 or 3 years back.. so they very well might have run into the same porblem again...

To bad for americans that they are cutting out some of the episodes. As some of it can't be shown on kids tv hehe.. rightly so if u have eaver seen the japanese versions.. Same goes for Sailor Moon.

I myself have one that UPN will not show, but they own the rights to.. and also wont release on DVD it seams.. and that is the first series(not the 70's version Tekkaman) Teknoman. Which I thoguht was much better then the second series..

I only wish I had all of them Tekk.. I have a really bad copy of half the shows in japanese.. and I have a few other the second series. I have fought in the past to try to get UPN to release the Teknoman series.. the Tekkaman tapes are pretty easy to find.. as that is the first 1970's show.

I lost contect with a man who was suppose to be getting me all the episodes for the first series of Teknoman.. all nice and clean looking.. I'll try to get in touch with him again in the first.. but I gave up hope almost 2 years ago trying to get them all on tape. For the longest it was on air in North Carolina.. Truest me.. I know this one is a very hard one to find.. and if I had them in a clean version.. I would send u the copies..

glad to knwo there is soemone else who remembers the old show.. =) I'll give a look around some of the old fan sub sites I use to knwo.. and see if finally anyone has their hands on a set of them yet.

Awesome! Man...crazy..never found anyone who actually knew what I've been talkin about. Even people who watch anime still hadn't seen the Teknoman series from UPN. Even a pretty big anime store around my house didn't have the episodes. I think the UPN version had alot cutout too. Ah well...as long as one day we might be able to get Tekkaman/Teknoman back!

Feel good that CN actually airs DBZ, less long any other anime. You would not believe the years of lobbying (emails, phone calls, letters, petitions) it took for us in the underground scene to even get anime on CN, even it its tragically cut and edited form. Working on that next...

The new Toonami programming block on Saturday night is a step in the right direction, though I rarely have the free time to watch the shows anymore. Guess that's what the VCR is for anyway, though I really hate analog sourcing when cutting episodes to VCD. Need to get around to a setting up a dedicated RAID array for programmed time captures, oh well getting off topic now.

Not that I honestly watch the DBZ series anymore due to a lack of an interesting plot (still a great series otherwise!) , the peep's at ANN or AonTV usually post when new DBZ episodes will air:

Catch ya' later,

SciFi was the anime source for american TV through the late 90's. You can still catch the occasional flick on at late night on SF, usually around one ever 3-4 months. Most gave up trying to petition SF for more anime content after 2000, though that might change if USA Network starts updating the SF schedule with new content as expected in the near future.

Would be nice if SF would atleast air some of its archived movies. First time I saw classic movies like Vampire Hunter D and Demon City was on SciFi.
