I was about 80 laps into the Winston Cup race and the windstorm knocked out power to the whole town .

I missed about 20 minutes it took to hook up the generator, wire up the TV, digital cable box, cable modem, router, and computers (2), and a couple of lights. Oh, and the beer fridge (can't have warm beer). So I'm all set. I think everone on my street is pi$$ed - lights blazing, fire in the stove - most impotant - I'm probably the only one in town online .

The phone has been rigning but I shut off the answering machine so people won't get the idea I have juice - mine, mine mine - hehehehe.

I shouldn't be so smug but it's usually me that is on the losing end, gotta enjoy the few times I'm ever a step ahead.

It was an awesome race. I was glad for Sterling but really wanted Tony to get it. I'll settle for 5th though.

Gotta go throw some gas in my into my internet connection .

Yeah, I thought Tony had the race won till that last round of pit stops. But hey, he went up another 11 spots in the points, on top of the 21 point jump last week. He is now sitting in 11th place
He was dead last two races ago

I just jumped back from nascar.com checking the standings and saw that - that's a heckofva jump, huh? And Bobby right behind him @ 12th - go Joe Gibbs Racing!!!

Marlin got lucky again.....wish I had his luck. Nascar probably feels sorry for the guy, he does have to drive a Dodge.....J/K. But man does he have the luck or what. A missed call for speeding down pit lane. (Yeah, I know he spun and ended up right at pit lane, but rules are rules and they missed the ball on that one). I thought Stewart was going to win it all. He had the car, just wasn't his day I guess. Joe Gibbs was mad at that missed call though!

Tony did have the car. I would've like to hear the radio chatter from Tony after his last pit - he dropped something like 5 spots.

Yep, should've kept my mouth shut. 10 minutes to 10 and the cable goes out so I missed the end of the X Files and couldn't get online. I plugged in the modem and the phone lines are out. Jeez. This town is amazing, they break two things to fix another. The power finally came on an hour ago. So much for being smug.
