let me give my critiquing on it.
piggy is a fat piece of crap
ralph is a natural born leader
jack is an undermining sneak but a good leader
-ralph is leader when he has the conch.
-jack won't respect piggy's right when he has the conch.
-ralph says how things never get done.
-jack insists he will catch the pig.
-jack gets the hunters to all help in catching the pig but the fire goes out.
-ralph bitches out jack.
-jack slaps piggy and breaks his glasses.
-hunters take control of the island.
-simon says they are the beats.
-simon goes looking for beast and finds it is a man i think (dead possibly).
-simon returns crawling out of the bushes and they all kill him thinking he is the beast.
-hunters steal piggy's glasses.
-roger throws down the huge rock and kills piggy.
-the conch is shattered into powerder which represents the 'destruction' of civilization
-sam&eric are taken over to the hunter side.
-sam&eric tell ralph that roger sharpened a stick on both ends which refers back to when they sharpened a stick at both ends, drove it into the ground and put the pig head on it (lord of the flies, i dunno what it means though) as a sacrifice to the beast.
-the island cathces fire and a ship stops at the island just as the hunters are about to kill ralph.
-the guy from the boat makes the remark 'sorta like Coral Island huh?' which is a book about kids who got trapped on an island but created a sort of eutopia, this society they created is in contrast to Coral Island.
-the moral is that people separated from society will turn into savages
-the fact that they were all British boys was for a reason, Brits are known to be sofisticated and are not savages but the boys turn into savages.
-ralph wants to stay civilized but jack wants to be a savage
well i hope a brief summary of the story has put some light on the issue
