My Football shirt is statically charged!!! HELP NEEDED!!

okay, my scotland football shirt is statically charged and is sticking to me. this is extremely irritating. What do i do to discharge it?
Its 100% Polyester, if this helps.

You can go to the store and get the fabric softner sheets you put in the dryer and rub them on it..
Or you can go grab your moms hairspray and give it a quick shot while you have it on. Stops it from sticking!

Those fabric softening cloths make good car air fresheners, once the worst of the smell has gone.

Never heard of hairspray to discharge static, might make his playing a little stiff

If the static is coming from friction between the shirt and another material, the best thing to do is change.

I dunno how it got charged, i put it on and it was sticking to me! I'll check out the fabric softener sheets and hairspray today (well later today, its 1:45am )

I get static shock that builds up and makes me CUSS wildly when it discharges---I think it has something to do with having 20#'s of implanted alloy, my car and electronic front door lock on the house are the worst, I can kick the cardoor shut with my rubber shoe but it kicks my butt when I stick the key in the house lock afterwords...

Not good with electronics---I make sure and discharge myself when touching stuff---electronic watches wont work on me either...and goto the airport? They think I have an M1 Tank up my butt...

there was one day i was in aberdeen and i would touch a railing, or a metal bit in a shop and i would get a shock. Honestly it was like all the time, i was most annoyed!
