I'd like to take a minute to point out something that makes a good forum
great.
In
this topic, a problem was brought up which required changes to the forum rules. The subject was discussed rationally, and members' viewpoints
were taken into consideration.
IMO, that is one of the MAJOR reasons we keep coming back, and why a strong loyalty to staff develops.
Also, this leads to
members helping out by bringing infractions to a mod's attention. You're MUCH more likely to help enforce rules developed this way than those arbitrarily thrust upon you. Of course, that support & help makes the mod's job easier...
While we all know down deep that a forum - any forum - is NOT a "democracy", simply knowing that your opinion (and that of other members) actually
COUNTS means a
lot.
Thanks,
Socalgal, for the way this was handled. And of course, thanks go to
Scott as well!!

While there are other very well ran forums, many mods and admins could learn a lot from this!!
