i see the same thing by all the networks, but this last time just p!ssed me off more that usual. i watched a interview with diane sawyer and barbara eden(i dream of jeanie lady). they were talking about barbaras son who had died of a herion overdose.
they were talking about various things her son did while using booze and other drugs. sawyer starts talking about how much of the drug he took ,then the camera focused in on barbaras face. The whole screen was filled with her face, just waiting for her to break into tears, which of course she did,and the camera just stays there so everyone across the nation can see what its like for a person to relive the pain. Obviously the dialog was planned to make her cry, because of when the camera closed in on her face .what is it with this sh!t??? are people really interested in focusing on people in emotional pain?will this crappy journalism ever stop? (or am i being too critical? comments welcome)
cbs(sawyer again) interviewed a youngster from colombine hs,who talked about his friend along side of him who got hit by a bullet. she kept drilling him about details and then asked him how his friend was doing. the boy said his friend died, and started sobbing. sawyer looked like she was gonna puke for pushing the boy for info. i wish she would have. i was so mad,i was shaking, ready to fire my coffeecup thru the tv. thankfully,my wife was there to calm me down.
i usually dont like to post on anything contreversial, for i m not much of a debater(unlike most of the timo`s who post) but i sure dont remember this kind of tv media crap going on for the last 40 years. or has it and i m getting to be an old softy in my old age??
