A JUVENILE who could face a term of detention for a spale of dishonesty crimes he did last year was remanded to custady yesterday until a presentence report could be prepared.
The boy, 16, pleaded guilty to 10 charges including seven counts of burglary and one of the unlawful assault in company.
Crown prosecutor Andrew Lowrie told the Townsville District Court the crimes were committed between November 2000 and July last year.
He said the boy stole a large amount of property such as alcohol, clothes, CDs and money from several homes.
The court heard the boy had a criminal history and was placed on probation in the District Court on September 19 last year.
The new charges were committed prior to the probation order being issued.
But Mr. Lowrie said the boy had since been charged with other offenses, which would be dealth with in the Townsville Children's Court.
Those charges were unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving and being in possession of implements used for housebreaking.
