Interesting evening

Was driving along tonight and decided to do a burnout, since I hadn't done one in awhile. Pull up to a stopsign, do a complete stop (because then it wouldn't be a full burnout)...and completely gas it, SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHHH.....for a full 5-6 seconds or so, my best one to date!!!!!

So I'm like yeah, kick @$$

'til I saw the cop in parked 40ft from where I did it

I go by, blue light special behind me...I'm like oh she-it

Pulls me over, I had my license/reg/insur. all set.
Cop: "I guess you know why you were pulled over"
Me: *small voice* "yeahhh..."
"Why'd you do it?"
*trying to sound innocent* "Absolutely no reason, just dumb"
"Ok"
*he goes in his SUV for 5 minutes*
Meanwhile, I'm laughing to myself at what I did....figuring there was no way in hayell that I would get out of getting a ticket, figured it'd be $70 or so...

He comes back.
"I'm gonna give you a written warning"
"Thank you sir" *pleasant surprise voice*
*BS time for the cop* "That was quite the noise you made right there, there are kids sleeping at the Inn [<-- where I work]. I'm sure you wouldn't have liked being woken up when you were little"
"noooooo......."
"This warning goes in the state computer. It would have been $120 and 2 points on your license if I gave you a ticket."
"Wowwwwwwwww......" *actual astonishment*

Then I had to sign it, he gave me a copy, I said "Thank you, sir" and that was that. I had gotten pulled over once before in the exact same spot for doing two rolling stops in a row...that was a verbal warning and would've been $107 and 2 points.....geezzzz

Still laughing though...wouldn't be if I was paying up the arse.....

On the warning it says "Reason: screeching/peeling out"

LOL!!!

This one and the one I get for BOOM BOOM of my sub are going to be framed

Wart,

You pulled that one off flawlessly!

Just tell 'em the truth and act like you're sorry, it works nearly every time. Heck, cops were young once too 'ya know.

You think you're laughing, what do you think he was doing for that 5 min?

Been there, done that-

lol, why thank you

I had always planned on being very polite "yes sir", "thank you sir"......, worked last time, worked this time.....I was gonna contest it anyway in court if I got a $120 ticket for that...that's ridiculous, as I said $60-70 would've been resonable.

heh,
Many years ago I had a '66 Mustang with the Hi-Po 289 in it.
(271 horses stock)

Pulling out of town one day, I wound 'er up just to hear it scream.
Just over the hill was a cop. Me? I'm doing 75 in a 40...

So, I pull over thinking the worst. Cop pulls up, and approaches-"Uh-Oh" says me.

First thing outa his mouth is "Open the hood".

Me: ???

He looks in and says, "I had one just like this, nice aren't they?

Me: "Oh, yeah!"

He goes back to the squad for awhile, then comes back and asks me why I done it.

Me: "No reason, just dumb I guess".

Due to the fact that there were no other vehicles in sight at the time it happened, he let me off with a warning.

Whew!

He did however, cast a forlorn look at the car before he left.

I later did a burnout in his favor!

Can you really put a price on stupidity?

But good work being polite to the officer. I have heard many times from officers I know that politeness and honesty is usually the key to avoiding a ticket. They don't like being lied to.

LOL aero, good story

hehe, my dad (jokingly) told me I shoulda said that my foot slipped off the cluth

I wouldn't call it "stupid" because I didn't do anything dangerous...

Gomer - you're just jealous because you can't do a burn out in your 4 cyl. j/k

Now, this (totally OT) has got me confused, Warty...

You typed @$$ then arse

Is @$$ more rude St8side, hence the 'disguise'???

I know some words have different 'meanings' etc. Like f@nny. Over here, that refers to a *certain* part of the female anatomy...
