Talk Guess what I found?

I got home from work today and the wife said that our sons' school was throwing away all kinds of PC's. They had a huge dumpster out front that was filled with computers. So being the PC kind of guy that I am I went over to take alook.

Well wouldn't ya know it, 99% of them were Mac's. Now nothing against Mac's but hey i do not know how to work on them. I would guess to say that there were between 100 and 150 Mac's with KB, Monitor, mice, everything that you would need. Well I had to pass this up because, like I said before I do not do Mac's.

Just kidding I picked up like five of them, including monitor, keyboard, mouse. I even found an external CD-Rom and a 16 port hub. Not sure of the kind of Mac since it was dark and it started to rain a little as we were finishing up our scavenger hunt. We put them in my car and that is were they are at at this moment.
So I guess I have a job to do this weekend. Get them up running on the network and load UD : )

Way to go korgul! I got a lot of my early 486's that way! The only problem was they threw most of monitors into the dumpster so hard they broke the CRT! But the PC's themselves survived!
I think I got ten complete units and about 40 200MB HDD's (a few years ago now - they were all given to others whio had no PC).

Have fun with the Mac's. I'm gonna work on one for a friend tonight - never have before, so it'll be interesting. Watch me cry for help sometime soon!!

Thought:
Does UD have a Mac client? Don't think so unfortunately. Not with Intel sponsoring, anyhow! Check Gilas FAQs in the DC forum.

Thanks Mick I will have to check into that.

I might just have to take another trip out there tomorow and see what I can see. Just wish I had more room in the house for them.

How old are they?

I would've taken as many as I could and resold them on Ebay
