Mod tracks??

I get email notifications of new posts in threads I subscribe to. I have noticed "phantom" posts by mods where I get a notification that a post has been made, see that the poster is a mod, then check the thread and there is no new post.

Anyone else notice this? or it is just me careful - that way leads to paranoia ...

Is this because they change something and don't leave a trace sometimes, or is it because they have secret posts that mere mortals like me can't read?

Anyone know? Even a mod?

No big deal, just my curiousity bump again.

If so that could be noticed as a "phantom" post

Some I have, some I haven't. That's why it confuses me. Maybe they edit without putting an edit in, if you get my drift.

I don't think anybody should be allowed to do phantom posts. The rest of us mere mortals might get a complex or something.

You're asking questions that shouldn't be asked.....
I remember one guy who asked a question similar.....
the next day.... somehow.... his 'puter had been formated and had Windows 3.1 put on there..... He persisted.... Somehow OS X was loaded on there..... poor guy cried for weeks....

A couple of times I've had email notifications of new posts before when there weren't new posts. I never paid attention to who supposedly posted there though.

Betcha it was a mod, I betcha, I betcha....
