Old Home Gone?

Now first off this a not a rant about Sysopt.

Is it now totally offline? I am unable to connect to it. Could it be that they have totally dismantled it, along with Resllerratings earlier? Sad, when you consider what it used to be.

That is strange
I just tried when I saw your thread same response. Could be server or some kind of tech trouble of course. Just have to wait and see.

They may not be gone for good, but I have been expecting sysopt to die and it may happen sooner than we expected.

bound to happen

( I knew I should have posted my site all over the forums over there inviting them to visit here and my personal forums too! lol)

I'm wondering if they were wanting to do a redirect like they did when they pulled the plug on RR and someone messed up the config and thats why no site is found... When I did a quick check I see that the port 80 traffic is actually being REJECTED and not just lost....hmmmmm

Yep, I was actually receiving a "not authorized to view this page" message. I would not be surprised if they pulled the plug altogether. How sad...

My Sysopt bookmark now leads to Microsoft!

"Sorry, there is no Microsoft.com web page matching your request."

Surely they would have redirected it to one of their sites, not MS.
I hope it's just down for maintenance or something, there's still a lot of good info there in the archives!

Still down. You would think they would put up a page letting everyone know they were doing some reconstruction.? I just get "page not found". Wonder what happened.

Well, I did a visualroute trace on it and here is what came up:

================================================== ==========
=== VisualRoute (tm) 4.2a report on 23-Feb-02 8:48:47 AM ===
================================================== ==========

Report for www.sysopt.com [63.236.73.68]

Analysis: IP packets are being lost past network "RNT Internet.com" at hop 17. There is insufficient cached
information to determine the next network at hop 18. Connections to HTTP port 80 are being rejected.
Node 208.45.131.118 at hop 17 in network "RNT Internet.com" reports "The destination network is
unreachable".

It looks strange, hop #17 which appears to be in internet.coms network doesn't know what to do with the packets
