My impending decision.

My posts are not getting replies (are they too advanced or being ignored? I don't know...)

My opinions are generally not agreed with (whether or not I am right or not...)

The TechIMO community does not seem "communityable" when DC is the main (generally) focus of the site, along with community, when the name is TECHIMO.

So basically, I am P.O.'d, and by sticking around I am making myself madder and making other people PO'd. Which is not a good thing...

So i'm taking a break...

and if you want me to remove this post (if anyone reads it anyhow) I would be glad to...

Answering posts has a "Pecking Order" if you will.

The more complex the issue is reserved for those who know, rather than guessing.

The less complex problems are answered by those who feel confident they know.

AFAIK, no one here holds any animosity towards you, so hang in there, problems at home can be troubling for sure.

We're here to listen, even if we cannot help/advise the situation.

Hey Cody, try to hang in there. If you need a little break, by all means take one, but try not to let other things that aren't going well ruin things for you here.

Try to keep in mind that everyone here is volunteers and if no one has offered to customize icons or write custom script, it's not anything personal, it's because things like that are sort of like work, compared to most forum questions that are answered off the top of the head by members that just know.

Hey Cody! Don't make hasty decisions about how you feel now. I went a week with only one reply abut my SCSI prob (which confused me more). But I persevered and mentioned it in other threads (it that cheating?!?! ) and eventaully I got more replies. Still didn't help, though, I'm still stuck .

But it won't make me leave.

I also don't try to answer complex questions like yours 'cause I don't know enough to even try to do those things. I'd be embarrassed I'd stuff up (which I prolly would )

I currently like the sense of community and family here. And I know if I have other problems I might feel different, same as with any family. But I have to realise it may not be them that changed, but me. And I need to deal with recognising that. It may mean I need to withdraw, but I should leave the door open to let me back in.

Go with what you need right now, cody. I'm sure you'll be welcome back whenever you are ready.
