Museum Day!

Went to the LA County Museum of Art today, and once again went home wondering why I don't get over there more than a coupl'a times a year?!?

I got SO high on the permanent installation of art...good heavens... great art can move you in ways you just DON'T EXPECT until you stand in the presence of it...and then you swirl with the emotion of the artist who painted it, and find yourself locked in a spiritual space of rapture and agreement....okay, I'm getting a bit 'windy' here, but....

There are museums everywhere, and people, start looking at them as a resource of truth and beauty! You never know, when you're there, when you're going to round a corner and see something that can transform and inspire you.

I understand fully what you mean.

I feel sorry for what appears to be an ever increasing number of people though who seem unable or unwilling to allow themselves the experience. They are missing out on some of lifes great feelings and experiences.

Even those who have the atitude that just one type of thing can be art at least experience some of it.
I'm sure you have encountered those who think that wood working, photography, sculpting etc. Can't be "art" because it isn't paint on canvas types.
