What some people throw away.

Found a pile of computer hardware next to our appartments garbage cointainer. Okay lots was junk and very old stuff: 2 VGA monoscreen, 2 desktop 286 AT cases.
Most was useless but I took some good stuff like keyboard (with old connector) I can use for my old P166, my own keyboard needed replacement and you can't get those old DIN anymore.
Also a working monitor arm and a rather new ATX midi case without PSU. Don't know which brand the case is, it only says Venus and the case looks unused. The sidecover however is messed up, but I don't use that anyway. Somebody tried to make a window casemod without succes, the rest looks new and intact.

whenever i put spare pc parts at the curb in front of my apartment i set my stopwatch to see how long before some guy comes by and gloms it all up. usually about 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day. good for you!

Yep I believe a person that lives in my apartmentbuilding works with lots of hardware because I find some parts now and then by the container. But usually its just crap or very old. But I'm very happy with the case and the arm which both look as new. The case even seems unused.
Guess because the modding on the sidepanel was a dissaster, he (or she) throwed it away. Too bad he was smart enough to remove the PSU, but he forgot the front case blower though

I find a lot of things in the trash, and this wealth of goods known as crosslines. I bought a Samsung monitor there for $5. I'm not proud I'm poor!!
