Project Vote Smart

Web Site.

This group has the most in depth information on nearly every candidate in America. I looked up the elected officials in my voting district and was somewhat surprised at the fair and unbiased analysis of the votes cast by my representatives. Patty Murray is a democrat and voted mainly down party lines, however I was surprised that the unions are less than pleased with her record. I would never vote for her, but it was entertaining to see that even as liberal as she is, the unions wanted her to tip clear over to the left.

The newly elected reps don't have many reviews so you will have to check back for their record.

Vote-smart is a great site!!! Besides the official's voting records, they also have very good contact info available. Names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. for nearly every elected official in the U.S. Includes those at national, state, and in many cases even the local level.

I've written often, and they do reply - at least someone does, anyway.

Get out & vote, it's important. But equally important after they're elected - voice your opinion!!!

And don't fall into the "one voice doesn't matter" way of thinking. That one voice might be the only one they hear!
