The property is cheap.
Just think what it would cost to build there though.

Might be worth it in the future....

A significant part of the moon is always facing the earth. Would make a nice platform for a communications relay or telescope.

It's too expensive to deposit equipment on there now, but in the future it may prove a profitable platform.

heh heh..maybe even a gas station for space ships!

Actually I saw this on techtv the other day I think it was...

yes the company really does sell space on the moon, and they said even some actors like Tom Cruise have bought a few acres on the moon. They apparently take use of a "loophole" in an UN agreement made long ago that says "Countries may not own property in space". So they put a letter to the UN and some other people saying they take ownership of it.

However there is a lawyer I think he was in LA that says the agreement specifically says "Countries, nor their citizens may not own property in space"

So who knows.

The laywer specializes in space law LOL

Somebody has to buy the land first before you can sell it.
But because nobody owns the moon (yet), you are free to claim your land, just like our ancestors did in the past.

So hereby I claim 1:53:21.38 N 3:44:54.81 E to be my property.
I will be setting up a palisade next week to show my properties boundries. I hope the gasprice won't go up next week or else I wouldn't have enough money to fund this and have to sell my land for $1,000,000,000,000

Remember Manhattan was sold for $24. Probably worth trillions now.

Wouldn't mind buying a plot size of Texas myself.
