My kid is terrorizing our kitten!

My 3 year old daughter has recently decided that our kitten is a neat thing to hide around the house. We know if we haven't seen the kitten around for a while we need to start searching for her. She puts her in cupboards, drawers, boxes, anywhere she can think of. And she's actually getting worse. A couple of days ago, I found her in a pillowcase tied to a bedroom doorknob. I didn't even know my daughter could tie knots. Tonight I found her zipped inside a pouch (kind of like a large bank deposit bag) hidden inside a wicker chest.

We've tried everything we can think of to keep her from doing it (short of putting my daughter on a leash so we know where she is 24/7), but we're running out of ideas. Anyone have some reasonable suggestions? I'm sure there will lots of off-the-wall ideas as well, which is fine too - gotta keep the humor flowing.

Kids and kittens need to be separated. When they are togther you need to have constant supervision...

That's the only way... You have to be there when your girl tries to hide (and may kill) the cat.

Vass, another "Red Green" fan? The question is where to apply the handyman's secret weapon.

Maybe if she were frightened of cats she wouldn't bother it? Take her to the zoo to see the lions?

Our other cat (male, 8 years old) lets her know in no uncertain terms when she's crossed the line. If she pushes further, she ends up losing the battle. Unfortunately, she knows that the kitten is too small to do anything much to her.

Maybe we'll have to start putting my daughter in cupboards, drawers, pillowcases, etc. to see what it's like. Ok, don't start calling social services on us now...

And as an added bonus, maybe I could get her to sit long enough to finish dinner once in a while!
