I loved his music, drank too much listening to it, picked up too many women from the bars with it in the backgraound, so my friends and I drink a sorrowfull farewell at your loss.

I was a young rock 'n' roll DJ when I was hired at a country station in the early 70's. I quickly learned to dislike much of the slick manufactured stuff that came out of Nashville. But I also began to appreciate Willie and Waylon. That appreciation has lasted to this day. Goodbye Waylon.

This saddens me greatly I remember growing up listening to him and he's had a very bad last year losing his foot and he was very luck early in his carear and made a quick start after Buddy and all the others died in the plane crash.

I wasn't a big listener of his music, but I do respect him as a well respected artist.

Some of his work I didn't like (actually offended by "Okie from Muskogee"...back in the day when ...nevermind...)

But as time went on, and I heard more of him, Willie Nelson, even Hank Williams...and there is one characteristic they all share(d), and that is absolute Integrity.

You can't fake it. And you could hear it.
