As I remember long ago back at Sysopt we did determine that a thread could be too long. Eventually it got to a point and wouldn't let people read read the last pages, although it still allowed you to post if you hit reply.
Of course this is different software, but I'm wondering what we're trying to do here....crash the forums? Push the software to it's limits to see if we can break it?
Sorry, but on the surface of it, it just looks silly and juvenille.
