What are you reading???

Just interested in what everyone is currently reading. Can included personal reading, course readings, anything basically. Post it here.

What am i reading you ask? Here's the list.

Lost in the Suburbs - Stephen Dale -- an examination of the political, social, economic, and psychological shift that occurred in the 905 belt region in Ontario in the early to mid 90's.

No Logo - Naomi Klein -- haven't completely pinned down the central arguement of the book, but it highlights how society is being targetted by advertising in an unimaginable way. Also comments on the impact of such actions.

My Antonia - Willa Cather

The Meaning of Hitler - Sebastien Haffner -- a historical and psychological examination of Adolf Hitler and his impact on the 20th century.

Meditations on First Philosophy - Rene Descartes

An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding - David Hume

Media Think - James Winter -- a book revealing the bias in the mainstream media outlets in the western world. Through the analysis of several key historical events in the 1990's, the book reveals the bias in the media and it's intended manipulation of political and social trends.

Chapterhouse: Dune by Frank Herbert. It is the final book in the Dune series. Pretty good considering how god awful the fourth one was.

I just finished "Life of General Nathan Bedford Forrest" by John A. Wyeth and I subscribe to Linux Magazine, MaximumPC, PC world, Discover Magazine, and Natural History. I read all the mags cover to cover each month and, of course, I read every Science Fiction book I can get hold of.

prttybean maybe you can explain to me what the last chapter means. Read and enjoyed the books years ago but the final chapter confused me greatly don't want to have to read them all again just to find I was an idiot

Am currently reading the last book of the
Second Cronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson
called ... just checking 'White Gold Wielder"

Also working my way through the
Rebus Novels by Ian Rankin great detective

what else...
