Server upgrade

There was a bit of downtime yesterday due to the server being bogged, and some today due to the DB server being upgraded. Tomorrow the webserver will get upgraded to an Athlon XP1600+ w/ 1GB of RAM, which will require a little downtime, but the long term benefit will be worth it..

This isn't a complaint (really! ), more a query, but.. do these server downtimes get mentioned anywhere else but this thread? I would like to know that it's not just me not being able to get into the site. And I don't always read threads titled "Server upgrade" 'cause I'm not a server gurru and I figure it's a question about a server (DUH!). So, Scott, is there somewhere on the home page or something we can put downtime notices? Then at least I will have no excuse not to know about them if I don't look! My ISP has somethng like that where you can check server downtimes of their various machines. Is there something on the site like that? Haven't found it yet if there is.

I'll try to get in the habit of putting them in the site news, front page / upper left.

The upgrade is in progress so you may notice some weirdness, besides the recent downtime this morning.
