Need help finding a video.....

This is gonna sound crazy but I've always wondered what movie this was. I was a little kid when I first saw it. I think parts of it were used in a music video also?!?

Anyway, the movie is about "Medusa" the mythological character. The only part(s) I remember are when the guy is in the temple with medusa hiding behind stone pillars. Eventually he cuts her head of (just like the story goes).....I don't think it was "jason and the argonauts", but could someone confirm this for me. I can't remember (it's been a long time since I saw that movie).

The snakes in her hair looked really "real" (at least for its time). It is an older movie Pre-1986 or so.

This movie has alway stood out in my mind and I was wondering what it was.

perhaps think that one had the mechanical owl too. A bit older that 1986 methinks

Clash of the Titans sounds right. I just saw the movie a month ago on TV and I distinctly remember that scene.
