This Infuriating Woman (rant)

I am seething...shaking as I type. I was out riding today, decided to stop at a sandwich shop for lunch. The parking lot was crowded, but I saw a car pulling out, so I stopped, and when it did, I pulled into the space.

Well, there was a woman waiting for that space too, and I couldn't see her because of a bend, which she was on the other side of. Anyway, when I realized I had inadvertantly taken the space she had been waiting for, I signalled to her and started backing the motorcycle out. Because I'm a nice guy! I figured I'd let her have the space, find another one for myself, right?

Well, as I'm backing out, she guns it and ROARS past, almost clipped me. I thought about following her and giving her a piece of advice, but...nah. Don't sweat it, right?

So I'm in the sandwich place, in line, and this...woman walks in and spots me and begins a LOUD harangue, insulting me, I never even had a chance to reply. I tried to cut in, saying "excuse me, but..." that's as far as I could get, She even started mimicking THAT!

Let me tell you something: If that had been a man abusing me like that, we would have taken it outside, period! Any man knows the signals, and they boil down to either back it down, or we're gonna settle this with fists!!

Not so with this harridan, though. I had to mentally grab myself by the scruff of the neck and march myself out of there. It was humiliating!!

I have never raised a hand in anger to a woman in my entire life...but I've had a few experiences that tells me what turns Mr. Hand into Mr. Fist. And it's always with the kind of woman who also knows that no man should ever strike a woman, so they take advantage of that!!

Grrr...I probably didn't write this right, but I'm just so outraged!

I am the kind of person that thinks, if she hits me I don't care but she is getting hit back.
Maybe taking it outside wouldn't be the best idea, remember your youth? Just remember....

I wouldn't worry about it too much man. I'd have been pretty tuned by that too, but she made herself look a lot worse than she made you look. You're obviously the better person here, that's what counts.

My wife is only 5 feet tall, but she has a black belt in American style karate and jujitsu (Amkajitsu...get that? ) I don't know how to fight. I'm just an ugly guy with big shoulders and a cigar.

But in that situation, I'd just tell her, "Honey, would you smack that bitch for me." Then she drops down in that Bruce Lee "crane" stance & yells, and the bitch runs away. In the case that the other woman actually attacks her, then I can step in and do some smacking. "I was just defending my little 5 foot wife here!"

Now if I was alone, that would be a different story. I'd just blame it on PMS and walk away with my nose in the air. Then I'd charge her with vehicular assault.

i ve been in similiar situations a few times back in boozing days.

i think, even tho you are probably beating yourself up(at least i would be after that) for not handling the situation differently, i think you did a momentous gesture by not stooping(or digging yourself down to) her level. after you walked out,i have a feeling everyone in the shop probably felt the same way about her as you did. its hard not to react to someones anger without anger yourself. good job, knot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of life's little conundrums, eh, Knot?

Just think, if you could pour that adrenaline buzz into your computer, you'd have the world's first 5 Ghz CPU

Cadd, I gotta go to NYC pretty soon. Can I borrow your wife. Just for the stance and yell, that's all. Honest. I'm just a balding guy with bony shoulders and a cigar....
