This is a hard thing to do. I don't know why, but it seems very odd to me that I could have this many feelings about a web site and the people on it whom I have never met in RL. However, I do and this has been very difficult decision for me to make. It is time for me to leave Techimo, due to personal disagreements I have with the way in which this board is being run.
Its mostly philosophical, and in no way meant to stir up any controversy. I simply do not feel the same way about this community as I once did, back when it was known as Sysopt. I knew with the new site there would be changes. But lets just say Techimo, IMO, it not built upon the same principles as the old site was. I won't say anymore, like I said I don't want to stir up the pot.
The truth is, I have made many friends here (and at Sysopt). I do not feel as if my time spent at these two sites was in any way wasted. The community nurtured me through my infancy with computers and many lonely nights at work answering phones. I will keep many great memories from my time here.
I ask that this thread be locked. I simply wanted to post this is a notice to anyone that might care (I know there are a few
). I do not want replies sticking this thread to the top, and I hope that this thread simply disappear into the archives after today. If you want to talk to me about why I am leaving, you can email me. I will for the most part ignore pms because I don't like using them here. After my FS/T thread is finished, I will no longer post. I might check back from time to time to see how the site is going, though.
