I woke up this morining and deceide to check the weather (didn't believe the people on the radio). I moved my mouse and my screen came up.. Tried to click on Start (I'm using Win98) and nothing....
Stupid Windows anyway I reset my system.. Usual "Windows was not properly shut down"... Scandisk no prob... Microsoft regestry checker comes up restoring from previous configuration... I think this is not a good sign.
Computer restarts and loads half way into Windows then I hear a Kerchunk kerchunk... Ahhhhh turn it off turn it off as I'm fumbling for the power switch.
On a Friday where am I gonna get a replacement? Talk to our suppliers and the soonest I can get one is Monday this makes me not the happiest person.
But luckily I found a HDD big enough at work to hold all my stuff. Phew doged that one.
Talk about a panic I was really concerned that I couldn't use my computer over the weekend. That's inhuman not being able to check e-mail and go to web pages and chat.
Pheew
