Spyware in TIMO???

I don't really believe it, and Scott, I know the ads are in a rotation, but, man, somebody is trying to slip one in on ya. I just went to my Login and was met by a dialog box asking for my network password, username, and domain.

It was from www.staffordconsolidation.com (I believe), and, to me, it looked like some sleazy attempt at getting access to my machine or something. It may have been harmless, but, especially on this forum, it, at the VERY least, is in extremely poor taste. If it IS an ad, it's a lousy one. If it isn't, what in the world is it doing here?

If anyone sees this please take a screenshot. Are you sure it wasn't just popup ad to get you to click on it?

If it the one I think it is, it's a popup. I have had confused users calling about it on and off for a couple of day. "But I already am logged into the network." or "Do I need a seperate password to use the internet now?"

Scott, maybe it was a popup, but the "Close" button did just that. The second time it popped up I used the "X" in the corner. Looked just like some sort of network login dialog box.

I expect it IS a popup ad, but on a site like this, ya gotta admit, it's equal parts tacky and dumb.

I made up for it and clicked the Crucial link and bought some RAM

It's cool, Cracked.

IMO, these guys smell pretty bad. They ask for your password.

Beyond simple decency. Just IMO.
