Outdoors Wrecked my car!!!!!!!

Well, last night I wrecked my 2000 Mustang. Bummed. It was pooring down rain, dark and I was backing out of the local Radio Shack and there was a car coming, car just happened to be BLACK of course, and they never stopped and I backed up right into them. No Physical Body damage to the rear bumper, but if you look under you can see where one of the support beam buckled about 1/4 inch. And if you look closely you'll notice the left side of the rear bumper is now about 1/4 inch lower. Sucks. Really bummed out. No charges were filed, she was happy that there were no marks on her car and I (at the time was happy that she wasn't going to call the cops). But now I have to find a body shop and have my bumper fixed. 27,000 miles. Already going into the body shop.

I was out with a bunch of friends and we were driving around me in my dad's pathfinder.... we were following a bunch of chicks who were flashing us.. me being short sighted and without my glasses couldn't see ANYTHING... well were went down thise street (dead end) and when we are on the dead-end side heading back a train comes and blocks the only exit... another friend of ours was driving along (we had radioed to them to come... they crossed JUST before the train came..) so here we are two cars filled with a bunch of guys and one car filled with drunk girls.... bunch of the guys get out and start talking to them yadda yadda yadda. So I decide I'm gonna get out too. I open the door and step out.... only to realize I left the truck in drive.. and to my horror I watched the truck rear-end the girls car..... wow... was I glad they were drunk... My bumper went overtop of their bumper and gave em no damage, tons of scratches to the underside of my Pathfinder bumper however....)

They asked my what type of vehicle I was driving and I told them a Silver Toyota 4 Runner (I was in a black Nissan Pathfinder) so anyways.. we went separate ways and the story flew around the school... lol..... ahhhh how embarrassing..... It was grad prank night so we were doing all sorts of stuff..... that's why we had those motorola radios... we were organized....

arghh... I left it in drive.... sheesh..... that ruined everybodies plans with the girls.... lol some were hoping for some make-out action.... nope... aint gonna happena fter FreakyOCR rear-ends them heh.... I think somebody above was tryign to keep me outta trouble.... busted

Freaky,
All I can say is you moron!! (j/k of course) your friends wanted to get some action with the drunk girls and you messed up by rear ending them (that really doesn't sound right in this situation) LOL

I want my liscence. Oh well. My brother wrecked his car. Came fliyign round a corner and lost control (duh, normally do when you take corners at 140km/h) He went fly up the gutter crushing the $7000 racing gear box which was barly hanging on. Then from there he entered the car park of the a hard ware store on the other side of the gutter where he hit a pole. He was lucky to be alive. His car is famous in my citie. It was the fatest car in my suburb before he crashed it. Capable of 250+ km/h. Did the 400m in 6.7 sec. It was a sad day he crashed. We mourned.

It was a Holden WB ute. Had a 308 stroked out to a 327. On a still day you could hear it a km a way when he reved it. That car rocked.

tht is maddening when something like that happens. I can understand perfectly why you're bummed out. Be thankful that the damage was the only damage done and you're not stuck having to pay for her car either, and police report, nto to mention increased insurance. You're very lucky with the woman you had bumped into. Could have been lot worse. I am glad you are okay. Cars are fixable, humans ae not that fixable. We'd sure miss ya around here if ya was hurt.

For a story of mine, this wasn't my fault but it was a real bummer. I had gone to an followup appointmnet after my son was born on the Indian reservation. I had lived about an hour 1/2 away from the reservation. I had my "new" recently purchased pontiac grand am. it was a 89 bought in 95. It was a beautiful car nad I loved it. I had only been driving it 2 days at this point in time when i went to the appt.

Anyways, while i was in an appointmnet a man was going around the building looking for the person who had owned a white pontiac grandam. He finaly found me and I was like thinking oh no, i parked in a reserve spot or somethign, I thought I was in trouble. Nothing of the sort, the man was truely embarresed, He said I am sorry mam. I didn't see your car parked where it was and i have ran into your car. I was like Ohhhhhhhh okay, well lets go out there and take a look. I was dumbfounded. He did a number, whole front in caved inot the radiator and the hood bent width wise. fortuanlly the caved into the radiotor was just close enough that it hadn't quite punctured the radiator and was somewhat driveable at leaat to get home. but the total cost of damaged turned our to be about 4000 dollars. The man felt really bad, however the way i look at the situaion. is that I was really lucky no one got hurt and not only that, is that I had a good person who did not just drive off from the sence.

I try to look at the positives in situations like this. In your case. No one was hurt being the best positive and also the fact that It could have been alot worse.

I know thise doesn't help from the feeling of what yur feeling. But hey buddy, count your lucky stars.

Glad you are okay and still with us!!!

Edit> the man was driving this huge ford pickup.

Well my wreck wasn't nearly as bad as all of yours (whew). But, that was my pride and joy. My first NEW car. If you didn't know it had been wrecked you probably would never tell the difference, but just knowing that underneath the drivers side bumper the support bracket is buckled makes my stomach turn. The day before I spent $312.00 getting my other car 85' SS Monte Carlo fixed. But atleast I am ok and no police etc. were involved like you said NeoStarO1.

Had a lady make an illegal left turn in front of me in my 3 month old convertable Mustang---she had no insurance and no drivers license, my car was practically totaled yet she drove her battlewagon away with a slightly wobbley rear wheel and a ticket for no drivers license---at least no one was hurt---it still hurts to think about it tho...

TKOP- even if it had happened to be YOUR fault, she would have been at fault for it because she had no insurance/license (!!!!) and technically shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. But it was HER fault so it's even worse. She didn't pay a dime?!?!?! How'd that happen?

I had a Geo Metro roll through a stopsign and nail me once. I flew up on her hood, turned my shoulder to hit, bounced and ended up laying on the ground with my head looking up at her bumper as she came to a stop.

left a couple pretty nice dents on her car, although my vehicle and I were mostly unhurt.

Did I mention I was on my bike?

I did taco my front wheel, but I was still able to ride the next mile into work, after banging it on the ground a few times. Overall I'd say my mountain bike made it through the whole thing better than her car did.

Ended up eating the cost on that one, she was uninsured and my deductable was too high.
