CD USA anyone?
I just got DirectTV and was flipping throught the stations and came across channel 101. Its mainly music and such, and i saw that theres going to be a new show called CD USA. Hour long on Saturday's...but it seems like it will be 'like' TRL, just better. Fewer commercials (i read that it will be on air 48 minutes out of 60), live performances/interviews...anyway, just wondering if anyone else has heard or seen this. Here's the site url for anyone interested. CD USA |

I love the decemberists, great name.
As for the show...if its anything like TRL, im sure i'll hate it just as much. Just a promotion for really no talent people like britney, jessica, etc. A roomful of giddy teenagers screaming, and corny people like carson daley....no thanks
I'd like to see a show focusing on alternative / indie rock, showcasing some of the bands and performers with real talent. Instead of focusing on the teeny boper. We all know that will never happen, but its nice to dream.

Its nice to dream, but at least this new show seems like they'll show most, if not all, of the music videos. Ever hear of Punjabi MC? If not, check them out
Oh, and thanks, i like the Decemberists too Hence, my name-great song (and the music video is really good too).

I watch it actually. At first I didn't like it since it had bands like Ashlee Simpson and stuff, but now they're getting more rock bands, so that makes me happy. So yeah, not a bad show at all.

Even if I got it, I wouldn't use it, but then again, I rarely listen to music unless I'm in my vehicle, and then it's usually short lived.
Whatever happened to the good old days of MTV in the 80's and early 90's?

"Whatever happened to the good old days of MTV in the 80's and early 90's?" Think the BET Network staged a hostile takeover and we just missed the press release. ;-) Liked MTV with more Rock and less Rap.

Hey, KoRn performed live last night on CD USA along with a few others! Anyone catch it? Its on channel 101 on DirectTV. The show loops for like 3 days so plenty of time to catch the show.
