MODS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW THE SAME RULES OF CIVILITY AS MEMBER.
THER IS A SIGN ON AGREEMENT WE ALL ACCEPTED WHEN WE JOINED TECHIMO. HOWEVER, IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS A DOUBLE_STANDARD WHERE A MOD IS ALLOWED TO MAKE OR BREAK RULES AS THEY CHOSE.
MY REPLY TO THE THREAD CONGRADULATING SHAHNI WAS NOT IN VIOLATION OF ANY RULE.
THE RUDENESS TO ME AND TO ALL MEMBERS FINGERS DISPLAYED IN DELETING THE SUBSTANCE OF THE REPLY THAT ITS LENHTH WAS "GAWDY" WAS BOTH RUDE AND UNPRECEDENTED.
THE POST SHOULD BE RESTORED IN IT"S ENTIRETY AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN IN REGARD TO THE RUDENESS SHOWN BY FINGERS.
MODS SHYOULD NOT BE ABOVE THE RULES THAT MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW.
ONE SIGN ON AGREEMENT SHOULD APPLY TO ALL.

I hear ya!
That kind of reaction makes as much sense as seeing someone post 5-6 one word posts and having nothing said to them.
It isn't that difficult to message a user and give them the option to explain their point of view when it involves something that is not clearly defined.

Meglo,
PLEASE don't get banned. It's not worth it. And mods, lets discuss this before you do anything over the top(please).
I'm not familiar with the events but I'm sure we can work something out.

Doog, there was two threads about the same thing.. why should have two posts about the same thing???
Congrats Shahani AND
The Minister is going ULTIMATE!
Why should their be two? Knothead stated the EXACT same thing in each thread...
Explain to me why deleting, moving, closing the other thread is a double standard.
And please, get your CAPS lock fixed.
EDIT: Apparently I didn't understand. I'm sure the mods have their reasons. You do have your own way of saying something that could be said in one sentance, in half a page. I know it is your personal form of expression, but the excessive length could be done away with....
Now I'm going on what I THINK: I never saw Megalos's original post.

Ya know Dooog, I must agree with the logic of your argument...however you're never gonna win me over by typing in all caps. I didn't realize you were a NEWBIE.

Yes there are two threads about it.
I started the first one not knowing that Knothead was doing the same thing.
The question is really about an edit to megalos post.
JD
Sorry Freaky I guess I just didn't read far enough

Well, not gonna make any friends with this, but here goes:
Megalos, my friend, it is true you didn't break any rules, per se.
I understand you're angry, and can see why.
However, the point has been brought up before that this site represents a business, and not a Democracy.
I posit that the Moderators do not have any obligation to be "fair"
or "decent" under the rules we agreed to. It's their ballgame, basically.
Fingers, I might suggest that what you did there might have been a little abrupt... I can understand the need to keep a certain "Format" in place here, but maybe you could offer a solution that would restore Megalos' post, without taking up so much space?
And having done that, might Megalos agree to keep to...a minimum line length?
I, for one, would like very much to continue to enjoy Megalos'...ah, Outre and rococo verbalosity....
And it would be nice if it could be handled without Fingers having to take on some heat for doing what he's supposed to do, as he sees it.
In short, a showdown over this doesn't net much for anybody.

It did take me by suprise, that a post by megalos was edited... I did not see the original message but can't figure out why the whole thing would be deleted... was it a book or something?
I think a PM to megalos would have sufficed for him to "clean it up" if that is what was required of the post seeing as megalos is not known for swearing or being offensive I do not see that it was an emergency to get it off the boards.
