That is quite a bear - Bow or firearm?

Beautiful animal - did you enjoy the hunt - food for me is the really important thing - LOL

wiz

edit -- so did he have a dump before the pic or after - One guy I met used a 450 nitro express - he was asked why such a big gun - his answer was - no 500 nitro express -

last time I looked Purdey over in England was building a 700 nitro - I think he may have needed it

My brother who was stationed in Alaska while in the Air Force got a newspaper article from his in-laws. It had an article about this thing. The guy was actually out hunting Carabu (sp) when he saw the bear walk into the wood. He had an tag for bear so he changed his game plan.

He tried to get infront of the bear and wait for it to come to him. He found a big log that the bear would have trouble going over (he thought) and waited. He said that when the bear finally get there it steped over the log like it was a twig. The guy had to shoot it quite a fews times to kill it.

This is all that I can remember right now as I have only been awake for about 20 min and I have a hangover.

I have no clue who the guy is! But I had to post the bear!

It was 12ft. 6 inches 1644 pounds

He saw it at thirty five yards when it started coming at him and he unloaded his rifle at it! "A good choice in my mind"
It dropped ten yards away! The guys color just started returning when they took the pic.
