Virgin Mobile refuses to honor promotion

I purchased a Kyocera K9 cell phone from Radio Shack last November.

This is a prepaid plan from Virgin Mobile. There was a sticker On the retail box which stated that the phone included free Friday and Saturday night calls from 8pm-midnight (New Year's Eve to Valentine's day).

Now Virgin Mobile refuses to honor this, saying that this model was not included in the promotion.

Radio Shack says that Virgin Mobile is responsible.

What recourse do I have? What would you do?

Thanks for asking.

I didn't pursue it any further than the few phone calls I made to Radio Shack and Virgin Mobile. I should have filed a complaint with the BBB & the Ohio Attorney General. Maybe I still will.

In the meantime, Virgin Mobile should consider changing its name, since 'Virgin' doesn't quite describe a company that enjoys screwing its customers.
