SusanP is on a distinguished road
amphere to watts

I am trying to figure out how many strings of .34 amp Christmas lights can be used to stay under a 500 watt amount. Is there a conversion I can use or can someone just tell me. Thanks.

It's called Ohm's Law.

Here's a handy link to what you need.

Is each string .34amps or is each light .34amps?

If it's per string, each string should be about 37.4W (110V x .34A)

500W / 37.4W = 13 strings
