Enough is enough already. Will someone with some nads do something positive and take out this guy and his BS little army.Wonder how much profit the casket maker companies are making ???? I bet Bush and Chenny half plenty of stock in these companies.

Spare the rod and spoil the child. How much more does it take ??

Complex problems don't have such simple answers. To do as you suggest would either require urban combat leading to lots of soldier deaths or indiscriminantly bombing the city leading to innocent civilian deaths.

Those civilians you think are so innocent turn around and shoot you in the back. I say bomb some strategic [or what they think is strategic] areas a few times to maybe tell these guerillas we arent messing around.

Better them than us; thats the way I see it.

Perhaps one of the many reasons that 9/11 happened in the United States, instead of other countries across the world?

How can we "strategically" bomb parts of a city? Urban warfare would be very costly, and what else can we do? Perhaps firebomb the city, very wise.

It's a tough situation. If Bush wanted to, he could just rid the world of Iraq altogether in one fell swoop. Imagine how the rest of the world would perceive us then.

Another soloution would be to not travel in caravans. That's just a bulkier, easier target for these people. Spread the troops out more maybe? I dunno, I haven't been following this stuff too closely.

The rest of the world would rightly perceive us as barbarians. Bush would never do that. He said that WMD didn't matter. He said his real reason was liberating Iraq's people. Unless you are saying that liberating the Iraqi people from life is what he meant.

It is not a tough call at all. They are people attacking foreign invaders. If that is the new definition of 'terrorist,' they are terorists. If a foreign army attacked NYC, I would do the same as them. Would that make me a terrorist?

sad but true. i mean, if the answer was so simple, dubya woulda solved this problem already.
heres whats gonna happen:
we're gonna put an iraqi general in charge of sadr's hangout in najaf,
just like we did in falluja, and then let the new iraqi government deal with sadr. this is m/l what it said in pickel's link.
