The findings of Psychology is that humanoids are "engineered" to seek control, even if it's ILLUSORY preceived control.

I guess "laws" are just another form of Explanation, hence "perceived control".

But all of Science and Religion begin with puzzlement.

They diverge in means of discovering LAW, whether it be Reason or Revelation., and in turn by the the kind of Explanation.

The title of one book, Athens and Jerusalem captures this.
