Inspirational thoughts..
It's very rare that I post anything forwarded to me in an email, but I thought this was pretty cool. The authorship, according to the email, is attributed to Mother Teresa.
People are often unreasonable, Illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you
Of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful,
You will win some false friends,
And some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,
Someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
They may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
And it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Why, Thank You, Socal!
How very appropos. Especially in the context of how many people throw their own ethics into the wind, in the quest for the almighty dollar.
Mind you, dollars are nice, but hardly worth selling one's soul over....
It is possible to live cleanly, within ones own ethical boundaries, and do well. Not that you'll ever get rich doing this, but the value of a clean conscience has no price!
Nice post, kiddo! |

Ah, yes..
You should read the poet Gerald Manley Hopkins ("To Seem the Stranger Lies My Lot, My Life", and other devotional poems)
From "The World is Charged With The Grandeur of God":
"..Yet for all this,
There lives deep down things, the dearest Freshness,
Because the Holy Ghost broods over the Whole World,
With warm breath, an Ah ! Bright Wings."

That's how I live my life by.
I didn't know Mother Teresa wrote that but that's what I've been doing.
