Doc,
It was a slip of the mouse,,the thought of ice cream overcame me.
The two commas must be another slip.
Can you put this in the correct forum?

The American Red Cross (at least in DC) has been giving away "pint-for-pint" coupons for Ben and Jerry's ice cream: donate a pint of blood, get a pint of ice cream at one of B&J's local outlets.
They've given them out for platelet donations, too.
(I haven't used mine yet; but they have no expiration date, so I'm waiting for warmer weather.)

Too bad anyone who lived in Europe in the past 15 years can't give blood here in the States, sigh, no Ben and Jerrry's for me.

Yeah, if you've spent more than six months there -- more than three months, if it was in the UK. I'm awfully close to the cutoff myself. But sooner or later, the FDA'll have to recognize that we have the same mad cow issue here, and either accept blood only from vegetarians or start accepting blood from travelers.
But for stick-in-the-muds, the ice cream's still there.

Scored myself a cup of frozen yogurt this evening at my local Baskin Robins. Was excellent considering it was free. |
