You betcha!...he danged well influenced me for over 50 years..and his ever-presence still does.

The guy was bigger than life

His portrayal of strong character in his movies made females try to talk their boy friends/husbands into treating them like John Wayne did or would.

Men tried desperately to talk and walk like him.

Soldiers in a battle type setting have been known to say/ask "what would John Wayne do now".

Did he influence people?....he could have been President of the US I think!
